Gex: Deep Cover Gecko
 
As with Mario 64, Deep cover Gecko requires you to travel to different zones and complete a variety of tasks on each level before you can progress to the next. Gex's HQ acts as a base from which you can access the many levels and, in stile of Tomb Raider, you can even explore the Gex mansion, admiring the many decadent features that the programmers have seen fit to include such as the antique furnitureor the oil paintings and trophies hanging on the walls. All this in a graphically superb, vast gaming environment. As in the last game, the levels are packed with full of TV and film pastiches, ensuring that the game shares the same tongue in cheek humor, which helped to make Gex so successful that time around. Undoubtedly one of the biggest selling points for the game is the collaboration with Baywatch babe Marliece Andarda who crops up frequently throughout the game.While for many, Mario 64 will remain the true 3D platform victor, Gex Deep Cover Gecko undoubtedly gives PSX owners the best platformer yet on the console and N64 owners a good for the money in the process- a marvellous game and essential purchase for all platform fanatics!
